24 tips on how to choose a watch!
As you know, there are exactly 24 hours in a day, so we will give 24 tips that will help you choose the right watch!
Tip 1. Don't spend more money on a watch than you actually have.
Tip 2. But, if you really dream of some kind of watch, and you understand that life without them is not sweet, then do not spend money on more budget models. It's better to save up a little and buy your dream watch.
Tip 3: Einstein wore a Patek Philippe watch. But don't be under the illusion that owning a Patek will imbue you with genius.
Tip 4. There are many famous watch brands. But, if you don’t like the style of the model, think about whether it’s worth buying it just because of the treasured inscription on the dial? Of course not!
Tip 5. Taste and color... There will always be a person to whom your choice will seem wrong. Therefore, buy a watch only for yourself. After all, it's your watch and you wear it!
Tip 6. And they will certainly say: “You're crazy! That kind of money for a watch!?” Why explanations, they still won’t appreciate it.
Tip 7. Look inside. We target known reliable or in-house calibers. Do not buy watches with dubious contents.
Tip 8: Does size matter? Yes, and yes again! Massive watches (women's or men's) are just a fashion trend, not a guide to action. Consider your wrist size. A watch with XL dimensions on a fragile wrist looks strange and even ridiculous.
Tip 9. Choose a slim watch for business style. A classic watch should be easily hidden under the cuff of a shirt, and not cling to it, deliberately standing out for everyone to see.
Tip 10. The inscription WR30 does not mean that the watch can swim and dive to a depth of 30 meters. These watches are not afraid of the rain or splashes, but real water procedures are contraindicated for them. For diving, look for models with at least 200 meters of water resistance.
Tip 11. Multifunctional watches and just watches. Do you really need a watch equipped with different functions? If you don’t plan to use them, and you haven’t even heard of half of them, then you don’t need to buy such models just because of their external (cool) appearance. Sooner or later someone will ask you to show how the telemetry in your watch works.
Tip 12: Prepare to be shocked. Soon after your purchase, you are sure to see similar watches for less (much less) money. “Borrowing” a design is okay.
Tip 13. As a rule, when you wait for something for a very long time, choose, ask the price, buy, the period afterward no longer brings great delight. And this is also a completely normal reaction.
Tip 14. If your watch breaks, don’t panic, just take it to a specialized service center.
Tip 15. In color. If all your accessories/jewelry are silver, then a gold-plated watch simply won’t go with anything. And vice versa. But bicolor can be an excellent lifesaver.
Tip 16. It's a matter of precision. Any quartz watch is a priori more accurate than mechanical watches.
Tip 17. Take care of your watch. Give them for preventative maintenance, clean them, keep them in a special box (casket), so they will serve you faithfully much longer.
Tip 18. Watches as an investment? Some models, yes, but most will not retain their value. So, if you decide to purchase a unique watch, then keep in mind that it will only benefit your children and grandchildren. We do not deny that there are exceptions.
Tip 19. A pair of perfect watches of yours is better than a whole collection of mediocre ones.
Tip 20. Special engraving for a special gift. Engraving on the back of a watch is very fashionable today, but keep in mind that there must be a significant date or event.
Tip 21. Buying at one time is a bad purchase. A watch that fits only one dress/suit, in short, a watch for going out, is not a very good idea.
Tip 22. Wear a watch! If the watch you bought sits idle for six months, then look for those that will become your favorite (the kind you will wear all the time).
Tip 23. If you are looking for a limited edition watch, then choose a truly limited edition one. An edition of 3000 or 2000 copies is, in fact, not limited.
Tip 24. Although watches are considered an indicator of status, you should not evaluate a person only by them.
